The F-1 engine was used on the first stage of the Saturn V that sent men to the moon. It utilized Liquid Kerosene and Liquid Oxygen as propellants. Five engines were used in the first stage. It was developed by North American's Rocketdyne.

The F-1 is the largest single-nozzle / single chamber liquid fuel rocket engine ever flown.

Thrust: 1,500,000 pounds (at sea level)
Length: 19 feet
Width: 12 feet, 4 inches
Run duration: 150 seconds
At lift off the F1 rocket engine developed 3,450,000 kilograms (7,610,000 pounds) of thrust and burned 2,021,000 litres (534,000 gallons) of liquid propellants in the 2 ½ minutes before first stage burnout.
