There have been many Abandoned Launch Vehicles which were studied or fully developed in the world. For example, the USA abandoned the Saturn V (Moon Rocket), Nova, Saturn 1-B, Advanced Launch Vehicle (ALV) and National Launch System (NLS).
The Soviets/Russians have also abandoned many Launch Vehicles such as R-56, Vulcan, Energia, Energia-M, UR-530, N-1 and RLA.
Vulcan Rocket was a Soviet moon rocket which was developed from 1974 to 1976 and was the original version of Energia . In 1976 the inline upper stage and payload was moved to the side and thus the Energia Vehicle was created. The Vulcan Rocket consisted of 4 RD-0120 rocket engines in the core and 8 strap-ons that used the RD-170 rocket engine. The inline upper stage used powered by liquid hydrogen and oxygen.
UR-530 was a proposed uprated version of the Proton that could have lifted 35,000kg.
Energia-M was a derivative of the Energia Rocket. The core used only 1 RD-0120 and had 2 RD-170 strap-ons.
